Understanding

Electro-Capacitive Cancer Therapy (ECCT)

The Science Behind an Innovative, Non-Invasive Cancer Treatment

Explore How ECCT Works

What is ECCT?

Electro-Capacitive Cancer Therapy (ECCT) is a non-invasive, low-intensity cancer treatment that uses intermediate frequency electric fields to target cancer cells. By disrupting the electrical processes that drive cell division, ECCT prevents cancer cells from multiplying, leading to their self-destruction (apoptosis) without harming healthy cells.

Key Benefits

Non-invasive, no need for surgical intervention

Minimal side effects compared to chemotherapy and radiation.

Targeted therapy with personalized treatment protocols.

Principle of ECCT

The principle behind ECCT is the disruption of cancer cell mitosis using low-frequency electric fields. Cancer cells, which divide rapidly, are more electrically polarized than normal cells. ECCT takes advantage of this by creating intermediate-frequency (100-200 KHz) electric fields that interrupt the microtubule formation required for cell division, leading to mitotic arrest and cell death.

ECCT Devices and Components

Oscillator

  • A portable electric field generator that
    produces specific low-frequency electric fields.
  • The oscillator is compact and lightweight, allowing
it to be worn for extended periods.
  • Operating frequency: 100-200 KHz
  • Voltage range: 18-30 Vpp

Capacitive Electrode Apparel

  • The electrodes are embedded in wearable
garments, such as vests or patches.
  • These electrodes generate electric fields around
the tumor without direct contact with the skin,
making the treatment more comfortable and
    reducing skin irritation risks.
  • The patient wears this apparel for 2-6 hours daily depending on the treatment plan.

HOW ECCT WORKS?

ECCT uses low-frequency electric fields to target the cancer cells’ electrical properties.
By interfering with microtubules, which play a vital role in cell division, ECCT prevents
cancer cells from dividing, forcing them into apoptosis (cell death).

Here’s a breakdown of how ECCT affects cancer cells

1. Disruption of Mitosis:

The electric fields alter the process of cell division, particularly in cancer cells, where the mitotic spindle is
disrupted, leading to improper chromosome segregation and cell death.

2. Apoptosis Induction

As the cancer cells cannot divide properly, they undergo programmed cell death, reducing tumor size and preventing further growth.

Procedure and Treatment Protocol

The ECCT treatment follows a structured, three-step process

1. Tumor Localization

Based on CT or MRI scans, the exact location of the tumor is identified.

2. Electrode Design

Capacitive electrodes are customized to the patient’s anatomy and tumor replacement.

3. Optimization

The electric field distribution is calculated to ensure the tumor receives the required intensity without affecting healthy tissue.

The patient wears the device for 2-6 hours daily

Usage

The treatment duration depends on the tumor size & types. For early-stage tumors, 2 hours may suffice, while advanced cases may require longer sessions

How Dead Cancer Cells Are Removed

After the cancer cells are destroyed, the body naturally eliminates them through the immune system’s process of phagocytosis. In cases where tumors are large, surgical removal may be required to prevent the accumulation of dead cells, which could otherwise interfere with the treatment

ECCT can be integrated with conventional treatments, such as chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. This combination can enhance overall treatment efficacy, particularly in shrinking tumors prior to surgery or in cases where chemotherapy has failed. The synergistic effect between ECCT and traditional treatments boosts survival rates and improves the quality of life for patients.

Clinical Testing and Efficacy

ECCT has undergone rigorous clinical testing, with promising results in various cancers, including glioblastoma, breast cancer, and lung cancer. Trials have demonstrated significant tumor shrinkage and improved patient survival with fewer side effects than traditional therapies. ECCT’s ability to be used for extended periods without causing cumulative toxicity is a major advantage.

Electro-Capacitive Cancer Therapy (ECCT) is a revolutionary cancer treatment that offers hope for patients with advanced or treatment-resistant cancers. By using low-frequency electric fields to disrupt cancer cell division, ECCT provides a non-invasive, safe, and effective treatment option. With clinical evidence supporting its efficacy, ECCT is increasingly becoming a valuable tool in the fight against cancer, offering patients personalized care and an improved quality of life
